To investigate the application of humic acid and salicylic acid on the morphological traits and yield of safflower in Shirvan city, a split plot experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications, was carried out in the agricultural land located in the Shirvan Faculty of Agriculture during 2023. The experimental treatments include irrigation at two levels including normal irrigation (irrigation every 10 days) and low irrigation (irrigation every 15 days) and the second factor at three levels (control, application of humic acid at the rate of 4 kg per hectare, foliar application of salicylic acid (5 mM). The humic acid and salicylic acid were applied at 2, 4, and 6 weeks after emergence. The results showed that the highest (58.75 cm) and lowest (46.17 cm) plant height observed in plants treated with salicylic acid and control plants, respectively. Also the highest (13.83) and lowest number (5.67) of branch per plant was observed in the same treatments respectively. Comparison means showed that plants treated with salicylic acid had the highest (21.67) capitol per plant, while control plants had the lowest (7.33). Application of humic acid significantly increased seed oil content, so that plants irrigated by 10 days and treated with humic acid had the highest (33.41) seed oil content, while the lowest (23.33) was observed in plants irrigated by 15 days and no application humic acid.
